			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">For over the years, we have been told and explained that the best way to deal with addicts of alcohol or drugs are using the 12-step recovery program. However, nowadays, experts have come up with a new alternative that is more effective in treating addicts, which is a <a href="http://www.drug-rehab.org/non-12-step-recovery-programs.html" target="_blank">non-12 step recovery program</a>. Well, what is this alternative anyway? And why is it considered a new alternative that is more effective? The answer may lie on the essence of the treatment itself, which is to help the addicts recover their conditions by means of the most effective way. We know that in the famous method of 12-step recovery program, the addicts will require to attend group sessions to help them keep the addiction under control. Well, it doesn&#8217;t mean to ignore this method, but what if the addicts, for some reason, fail to attend the group session? Will the treatment work well, or, will it not work at all? Or will the treatment has to be restarted all over again? Well, for some reason, this is not effective in terms of the time and energy that has spent on it. So, what&#8217;s the point of healing the addiction if the addicts themselves depend on the group sessions to keep them out of their addiction habits?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">With a non-12 step recovery program, the addict will be taught how to control their addiction habits and fight against them so that they can fully recover from the addiction. Of course, this is not just simply giving counseling to addicts to help them figure out the root of the addiction and help them recover. This method will also include detoxification as the main point of healing the addicts. This also will include giving therapy and education to help the addicts recover from their addiction. Of course, the personal health and good nutrition will also be the aspects of this method. So, instead of telling the addicts that they are victims and they need to attend group sessions to help stay away from the addiction, giving an education of how to live free from addiction is better because the essence of drug addiction treatment should be how to help the addicts enjoy the rest of their lives free from addiction and not keep telling them that they are the victims and they need the help.</p>

<p><span id="more-933"></span>This is evident in the United States. According to data from years 1999 &#8211; 2007 are reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States. Highest mortality occurred in the productive age.</p>
<p>CDC officials said, about 3.2 million Americans infected with hepatitis C, a major cause of liver cancer and cirrhosis (hardening of the liver). An estimated one third of adults infected are unaware they are infected because the disease progression is slow.</p>
<p>Hepatitis C is transmitted through the use of unsterile needles, blood transfusion, and sexual relations. In some cases, transmission may also occur from mother to fetus.</p>
<p>&#8220;Chronic hepatitis is the leading cause of preventable premature death. However early detection and intervention of this disease can be cheaper and save lives,&#8221; said Dr.Scott Holmberg, president of the division of the CDC viral hepatitis.</p>
<p>The last study to determine the number of hepatitis cases in the United States published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.</p>
<p>Recent data show deaths from hepatitis C has reached 15,000, surpassing the 13,000 HIV deaths. Death is also more common in middle-aged people.</p>
<p>&#8220;About 73 percent of deaths from hepatitis C occurs in the elderly 45-64 years,&#8221; said Holmberg.</p>
<p>Current hepatitis C vaccine does not exist. If this continues, the trend increasingly the case, his death in 2030 is estimated at 35,000 per year.</p>
<p>According Dr.Eugene Schiff, director of the Center for Liver Disease, the current treatment of hepatitis has become one of the obstacles. &#8221;The treatment now includes anti-virus and interferon patients often can not be tolerated,&#8221; he said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;The athletes or people who exercise for fitness are both going to get an optimal physical recovery from drinking chocolate milk low fat, after working hard,&#8221; said Dr. John Ivy of the University of Texas, Austin, USA, who led the research.<br />
Those who drank chocolate milk after exercise also has a body composition with more muscle and less fat. Furthermore endurance becomes longer, and more generally in better shape than participants who consumed a sports drink that contains carbohydrates alone.<br />
Research conducted Ivy and his team conducted comparing the benefits of physical recovery in those who drank chocolate milk after exercise with a sports drink that has the same composition and the number of calories in sports drinks on the market.<br />
Tests conducted by asking 10 athletes bike to ride a bike for 90 minutes at moderate intensity then increased to a high intensity for 10 minutes.<br />
The researchers found athletes have more energy and pedal faster if they eat chocolate milk low in fat compared to sports drinks or soft drinks calories.<br />
The researchers also tested 32 men and women cyclists to exercise speed (spinning) five times a week, followed by the consumption of three drinks tested.<br />
The result, after 4.5 months of training, the chocolate milk drinkers had an increased maximum oxygen consumption compared to the other. Maximal oxygen consumption is an indicator of aerobic endurance athlete and the ability to exercise continuously.<br />
The cyclists of chocolate milk also form more muscle and trim more fat during exercise.<br />
&#8220;We are not the mechanism that causes a milk chocolate low-fat is beneficial for athletes. But protein and carbohydrates combined naturally in these drinks can be no impact,&#8221; said Ivy.<br />
In addition to drinking right after an effort, he also stressed the importance of the recovery period of three minutes after exercise.</p>

<p>1. Milk chocolate<br />
One study showed that chocolate milk has an optimal ratio of carbohydrates to protein to help restore power and repair damaged muscle after exercise. In the study researchers recruited eight male runners who drank 500 ml of fat free chocolate milk and 500 ml sports drink soft drinks. The results showed that chocolate milk are able to repair and rebuild muscles better than a carbohydrate drink.</p>
